Experience

I started out in the NHS in 2000, offering cognitive behavioural therapies in Primary Care settings.  I completed my Clinical Psychology training in 2004 and started working in Portsmouth City NHS Trust where I developed the role of a clinical psychologist in Crisis Resolution/ Home Treatment and provided intensive psychological interventions to adults with acute psychiatric needs.  

I also worked for Solent NHS Trust as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist in Adult Mental Health, treating people with a wide range of severe, complex and enduring mental health difficulties and was a member of the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Team, treating people with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) from 2005-2012.  

From 2011-2012, I was responsible for setting up and running the Portsmouth NHS Autism Assessment & Diagnosis Service for Adults, offering gold-standard assessments.

I also provided teaching workshops and supervised placements to clinical psychology trainees from The University of Southampton Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology from 2008-2011.

Since 2012, I have run a busy private practice in Petersfield Hampshire, offering high quality evidence-based psychological interventions in accordance with best practice guidelines.  

I have also offered clinical consultation and supervision to the University of Portsmouth’s Student Wellbeing Team and higher management since 2014.
